Insurance & Payment Options
At Discreet Therapy, we aim to make counseling accessible and straightforward. We accept select insurance plans and offer private pay options so you can choose what works best for you.
Insurance Plans Accepted
We are currently in-network with the following providers:
- Medicare
- Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
- Aetna
- Cigna
- Optum / UnitedHealthcare (UHC)
Using insurance for therapy may help reduce out-of-pocket costs. Coverage varies by plan, and you may be responsible for a copay, coinsurance, or deductible depending on your benefits.
If you’re unsure about coverage, we’re happy to verify your benefits before your first appointment so you know exactly what to expect.
Private Pay Options
Private pay sessions are available at a clear, flat rate. Some clients prefer private pay for added flexibility, privacy, or to avoid insurance-related requirements.
A superbill can be provided for clients who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement, if their plan allows.
Insurance & Billing FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Discreet Therapy accepts Medicare and select major insurance plans, including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, and Optum/UnitedHealthcare. We’re happy to verify benefits before your first session.
What if my insurance isn’t listed?
If your plan isn’t listed, you may still have out-of-network benefits. A superbill can be provided for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Does insurance cover online therapy?
Many plans now cover telehealth sessions, often at the same rate as in-person therapy. Coverage details vary, so we recommend confirming benefits ahead of time.
Can I choose private pay instead?
Yes. Some clients prefer private pay for flexibility or privacy. Private pay does not require a mental health diagnosis for insurance purposes.
What if I have a high deductible?
If you have a high deductible, you may choose to pay privately until it’s met. We can also provide documentation to help apply therapy expenses toward your deductible when eligible.
How soon can I start?
In many cases, appointments are available within the same week. Flexible scheduling is offered to make starting therapy as easy as possible.
